DVDs

I have a DVD empire....

I picked up Tokyo Majin vol 2 w/ artbox, BBB vol 2, Monochrome Factor vol 2 (manga), and an EXIA figure, so that Kyrios won't be lonely anymore, yesterday from Neo Tokyo.

Today I set out on the search to figure out which album of Seether's that Rise Above This was on. Found it, d/led it. Yes that's right I d/led it, but wait it gets better. Then looked at futureshop to see how much it was, $16.99, but then decided to look at bestbuy.ca, but figured it would be the same price like it usually is, but it was only $11.99. Also looked up Jericho while i was on the site, and it was listed as $37.99, which is in fact lots cheaper than $59.99 that i keep seeing it as. So i go there and look and look and see no sign of Jericho in te TV Shows section, and then turn around and my mom's missing. So i look for her, and find her at another section where there are also TV Show boxsets, and she has Jericho in her hands. *pounce* ^___^ And then i look around that wall and find such cheap ass prices. @_@

Supernatural season 1 - $29.99
Supernatural Season 2 - $29.99

me: *nosebleed*

So i ended up buying: Jericho season 1, supernatural season 1 & 2, and Seether - Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces.

It may have wrapped up some things but....

March 25th, 2008 (11:14 pm)

There is still so much for JERICHO to tell!

I twinked a couple icons make by [info]xtremeroswellia to come up with the icon i used for this post.
To show my support of saving a great series. One of few on NA tv worth my time.

Operation: Save Jericho is in full motion

March 25th, 2008 (05:40 pm)

We've got Supernatural fans on board to help us out now too.
Aiming for either The CW (home of Supernatural) or Sci-Fi to pick it up and give us a 3rd season. Since all CBS wants is reality crapvision on it.

Okies for mailing The CW
for: Sci-fi

I'm gonna pick up some postcards tomorrow and think hard about doing up some letters. Like some creative, 'maybe they notice me' letters

or just d/l that postcard with 'JERICHO' on it from 1 of those 2 links above and sent it in. ^^ Power in numbers.

so even if you don't watch JERICHO, like those Supernatural fans, send in a postcard to save the show. ^^

Confidenchel, from jerichonet2.com made this lovely graphic... obviously aimed at The CW

I told you I'd be posting today, just thought it would be about tripping over the trash can in my room... but it's not.

CBS has once again CANCELED Jericho. Meaning March 25th's episode will be its last.
I suppose as a Jericho fan we should just be happy they gave us our 7 more episodes in exchange for the 2 tonnes of peanut that were send to them in protest of the original cancellation, however it still doesn't seem fair or right.

So that leaves me with 3 shows again: Prison Break (13 episodes is a cop out FOX), Supernatural, and 'on  & off' Smallville. (can't stand most of the characters like: clark, choe, Lois, NuLana <-- i still think she's a clone)

RIP Jericho

excited

mood: excited

Watched the first Stargate SG1 movie: The Ark of Truth.
It was EPIC, in the good way. Loved it.

After which I sprung out to tell my mom, that it was EPIC, and had to explain that EPIC means good, at least to me, it does.
But then I looked outside and saw a bus, which isn't that EPIC, but there were 2 London Transit vans on either end of it, which there flashers on. So i'm like: a bus broke down outside. The people from on the bus are all standing outside of it, and it's cold out and all. (-7c with the windchill) (we have this screen like thing across the railing on the balcony, for more privacy) I looked a bit better, aka stood on the heater with tipee toes and saw a cop car. 'WTF?' pop my head back in to my mom: 'there's a cop car' Then another cop car shows up and sits on the side street. And then another unmarked car with flashers. And yet another cop car which pulls in, inbetween the bus and the van at the front, aka into the snow bank. Then (yes it's an epic tale with no anwsers) A bus comes along, and I'm thining: 'oh there's a bus for them' and so were they, but no, it wasn't, so it must have been another bus. But behind it is yet another bus (total: 2 vans; 4 cop cars; 3 buses) The 2nd bus moves on, and the 3rd bus pulls up beside the 1st bus, effectively stopping traffic. The people pile on, and the bus leaves. Now back to the Why the hell is there 4 cops for a broken down bus? o.O

Then after a bit of time.... oh wait somewhere inbtween, before the new bus, someone (maybe a cop) kept walking up and down the isle.
Then (that's my favourite word) 2 cops head over to one of the cruisers with a blonde girl in a white jacket, who is cuffed. They put her up against the trunk of the car and pad her down. Placed her in the back seat, then the 4 of them chatted for a bit. One cop left. And then eventually the rest of them did too. It was really kind odd.

and now Jericho is on, so off i go!

This is my show. This is the show I saw fans save through peanuts. 2 tons of peanuts.
We the fans that do not count in the ratings. We are getting 6 (or 7) eps for the 2nd season.
In last week's episode I was sad, but happy that a character that I adored was going to be heading out to work in another part of the reborn USA. But i was like, hey we're only getting 6 episodes, so this is good. However this week's episode... Don't get me wrong, I love D.B. Sweeny, but his character is one motherfucking badass, And with the commercial for this episode using the terms 'a tragic event' I just knew something awful was gonna happen. They sort of set it up to look like maybe Heather would have something happen to her, and I was worried for HER. It didn't even cross my mind that would happen to THEM.

When the first episode of this season aired, I felt like: 'WTH am I watching?' But the one element that made me think, 'oh yeah, this is my show' was Stanely, Mimi and Bonnie. Bonnie is the one i was talking about up there. She's Stanley's little sister. She's also deaf. I enjoy a show that doesn't just have skinny, perfectly healthy (as heathly as you can be under weight) characters. Stanley asked Mimi to marry him. Bonnie was going off to work for J & R. Lots of happy happy, right? Then this episode came and hit us, like a sledge hammer.

Mimi had found, while doing the books, that $10,000 was missing from the accounts, and made this known, and that person told D.B.'s character who basically demanded Mimi's copy of the Ledger. He threatened her, in a between the lines kind of way, and she said she'd bring it in tomorrow. However, and i knew he'd do this, he went out to the farm with four guys, and with guns. Mimi told Bonnie (keep in mind she can't hear them outside yelling for Mimi to bring out the ledger) they were there. Bonnie said she'd go outside and tell them Mimi wasn't home. So she did, and he didn't believe her, and she ran back into the house and locked the door. Told Mimi they were coming. Mimi said we have to hide, and ran into the pantry, but she turned around and Bonnie wasn't there. She was about to go out, but then guns started firing, Bonnie had a shot gun, and was shooting back at them. The men were shooting thru the wall where the pantry was, and Mimi got hit. Bonnie was taking care of the men, really well, but I knew D.B.'s character wouldn't go down as easily. Mimi was in the pantry barely staying awake, when it got really quiet, she moved slowly up to one of the holes and looked through it, with blurred vision before she fell to the ground. Later, we come back to the farm, and a really sad song is playing as Jake (Skeet's character) pulls up in the sheiff car, he is the sheriff, btw. He passes his brother Eric, goes inside.  We see Mimi on a strecher, with an oxygen mask on, she doesn't look good. No sign at all of the Ravenwood gang. Then Jake sees Stanley holding Bonnie's lifeless body. TT__TT

When Bonnie was 4 years old (there's a big age gap between the pair) she was in the car with their parents, while Stanley was off in college. They got into an accident, and their mom and dad were killed. Stanley came home right away. He took care of his sister, he raised her. And now... omg... it's so sad! But it just proves how good this show is. Though I know it won't be back next season.

Seems I never posted about this.  I posted the fact that CBS had canceled Jericho, in this thread.
Well shortly after the announcement,  nutsonline started to notice a large amount of sales being sent to the same locations.  So NUTS for Jericho was set up.  In short  over 20 tons of peanuts were sent to CBS, via the fans of Jericho. (4,779 - orders;     $54,822      40,297 lbs)  For those keeping score that's about 8 million peanuts.

As any Farscape fan knows, if you make enough noise you will be heard. They gave us a Mini-series movie (4 hrs with commericals) for the most expensive tv series to date. <-- could be beat by some show now, dunno.

In Jericho's case, they are offering up 7 episodes, and as a mid-season replacement.  However there are reports of it returning as early as October.  Also to note is the budget has been severely cut, naturally.

Stars who will definately be returning: Skeet Ulrich (Jake Green), Lennie James (Robert Hawkins), Brad Beyer (Stanley) and Alicia Coppola (Mimi). Most likely to reprise: Gail, Bonnie, Gray, Eric, Dale and Skylar.

I taped all the eps from Season 1. Actually I think Jericho was the only new series I decided to watch.  I rarely watch tv.  TV Shows: House, Prison Break, Smallville, & Supernatural. That's all I watch.

Public post because we could use the attention on this matter.
