Why does Michel? (blonde) have pointed ears anyway, do you know? Been years since I've seen Macross but I don't remember the Vulcan look anywhere...

Mmm...it seems that the pointed ears is an expression of Zentradi ancestry. Although the original Zentradi/Meltradi didn't had it I think it's the only way to mark the difference between humans and zentradis.

But Ranka is 1/4 Zentradi? Hers aren't pointed right (or we haven't seen them)?

i figure it was probably explained somewhere in eps 1-9.... but i've been really bad at watching subs. XD

They do? Man where have I been looking? Alto hime too distracting ^^; I do not remember the Zentradi having pinted ears in Macross though...
