sleepy ash

I'm not up on hockey as much as i used to be

I also know nothing about the Windsor Spitfires (OHL team).  However when news spread about their Captain, 19 yr old, Mickey Renaud collapsing and dying at his home in Tecumseh, ON on Monday, my heart sank.

Shocking could be one word to use here. He was drafted in 2007 by the Calgary Flames. He was only 19! His autopsy report was released to his family, however nothing's been shared. We do know that they've requested more tests, why would lend one to believe the tests were inconclusive.

His funeral is set for Friday morning, Darryl Sutter, Flames GM, will be present.
Don Cherry has will talk about  Renaud on Saturday's Hockey Night in Canada's Coaches Corner.

The whole thing makes me sad.
The Spitfires have retired Renaud's No. 18, and all the players will be wearing patches with #18 & C on them. T_T
I also heard about a sticker for all the teams players to wear on their helmets, in remembrance.
