RIP Natasha Richardson
1963 - 2009

She was 45 years old.
Mother of 2 boys: 12 & 13.
Wife of Liam Neeson. Daughter of Tony Richardson & Vanessa Redgrave. Sister of Joely Richardson (Nip/Tuck).

And yes it would be nice to know exactly what the medical reasons are for this horrible event, but the family needs time to grieve. Let's see if the media can leave them alone better than they did with John Travolta & Kelly Preston after the death of their son Jett.

I read one report of this being referred to as "Walk and Die" The person appears to be fine, only to later develop the symptoms, due to brain bleeding being delayed. The whole thing is really odd, seeing as she never ran into a tree, and the fall was minor. Freak accident written all over this one. :/

Whisper

I read it as soon as the news came out. Happened to be working online and saw the news. I was shocked and my thoughts go to the family. I just hope the media will have some decency to give them privacy to grieve.

It would be nice to know what happened but even if we don't...it's not our thing anyways. I hope the family will recover soon from the tragedy and continue their lives.

Rest in peace Natasha Richardson.

HxH // prayer

Not a freak accident, it's known that when you hit your head you should get checked immediately for concussions, because the effects might show up later when it's too late. It's too bad she didn't go to the hospital right away to get checked.. could've saved her :(
have you seen the anime Major? it's like, exactly the same =/

Brera - *peek*

It is? known by who? I don't know a single person who would go to the hospital because they fell on the snow and ice and hit their head.

I've seen some Major... can't remember much, but he got hit in the head with a baseball going lots KMs, right?

They are calling this a 'minor' fall, that didn't include any trees. So it's a tad 'huh?'ish

Now i wonder if she was wearing a helmet... it's Quebec so I don't know.

Gintama // ~hm?~ even Sougo is curious!

I thought it's common knowledge... though I guess I wouldn't go get checked up if I just bumped my head in the wall..

in major first season, Goro's dad got hit in the head by a dead ball, but he says he's ok and continues playing and finally agrees to go get checked in the morning... but in the morning, he wakes up and the effects kick in and he dies.. I cried a lot >_>

oh and she wasn't wearing a helmet.. they're thinking to make it a rule now..

Brera Arm

not that a helmet would help.

Just had a girl on a HS trip near here go downhill skiing with a helmet on and hit a tree. She didn't make it.
